Hi! I'm Nicole

Owner and head baker at Lowe's Donuts and Bakery!

Our Story

At Lowe's Donuts and Bakery, we are passionate about creating delicious treats that are safe for everyone to enjoy. Our journey began when Nicole's son Theo was born with many food allergies. Her lifestyle and food intake did a complete 180 when he was just two weeks old. He was so sensitive to his allergens that he was reacting to food through her breast milk. She cut all of the foods out of her own diet to help Theo reduce the severe eczema and rashes he was experiencing.  She repeated this when her youngest son, Otto, was born shortly later. Today, Theo has over 25 food allergies alone. Until Nicole opened her bakery, neither had ever been able to walk in somewhere and pick something out safely.

While Nicole is a self-taught baker, she has advanced degrees in Nutrition, Education, and Public Health. She previously taught nutrition and cooking classes to children as young as 3! Nicole has always loved being in the kitchen, and since she was a young girl, had dreams of opening a coffee shop and bakery! She knows that her grandfather, who was her biggest supporter, and the biggest donut fan (!), is watching down so proud.

Lowe's specializes in donuts, cupcakes, cookies and brownies and bring out specials such as coffee cake and cinnamon rolls during the holidays. We can accommodate custom orders including donut cakes, cupcakes, cookie cakes, sheet cakes, and more! EVERYTHING we make is gluten free, top 9+ allergen free, and vegan. We also do not use any oats, legumes (pea included), flax seed, chia seed, artifical dyes, or coconut either.

​We are a dedicated gluten free, vegan, and top 9+ allergen free facility. All equipment was new when we opened the bakery including the oven. We have strict policies and no top 9 allergens (the others we are free from), or gluten ever comes into the bakery. All staff are fully trained in food safety and allergen awareness. We have chosen products that are free from the top 9+ allergens and companies that have high quality food safety, testing, and sanitation programs. With that, please research the brands and ingredients we use on your own and make mindful choices based on your allergens and comfort.

We do regularly use: strawberries, blueberries, cranberries, raspberries, apples.

​

Applesauce is in everything except: brownies, vanilla cupcakes, chocolate cookies, bis-scones.
